Vuelta Stage 8 - One Day Ride

We are delighted to promote our 'Stage 8' one day ride. We'll have the Siempre Skoda on the route from which we will be able to provide support including nutrition.

This ride will follow the route of Stage 8 of the 2023 Vuelta.  Starting in Denia, the route heads inland featuring the climbs of Vall de Ebo, Puerto de Tollos, Puerto de Benafallim, Puerto de La Carrasqueta and the summit finish of Xorret de Catí.

Included in the ride:

Support from car at strategic points along the route

GPX file of route

Unlimited water from car

Energy gels and bars, plus cakes and bananas from car 

Space in car for one small bag (left at your own risk)

Spare wheels from car if required (Shimano 11 speed) 

Transfer back to Calpe and Denia

Important Information:

The support car will be located at strategic points along the route, to keep you fuelled for the ride. The average speed of the main group is expected to be around 22-24kmph. If you ride more than 10% outside of this we cannot guarantee support from car. Therefore we ask that you only sign up if you are confident you can complete the ride at this pace.  We would also ask you to load the GPX route on to your device before the ride. Places will be strictly limited.

Alto de Vall de Ebo 7.9km 5.7% 540m Cat 2

Puerto de Tollos 4.2km 5.6% 830m Cat 3

Puerto de Benifallim 9.5km 4.9% 1,015m Cat 2

Puerto de La Carrasqueta 10.9km 4.6% 1,020m Cat 2

Xorret de Cati 3.9km 11.4% 1,098m Cat 1

Pre-entry is required. Please complete the on-line registration.

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the ride if weather conditions or other circumstances dictate. In which case the €50 contribution will be refunded.

Bring bike lights in case of changeable weather or low sunlight.

No helmet, no ride.
