Volta Valencia - Calpe Winter Cycling Weekend

We are delighted to announce our Calpe cycling weekend which includes watching stage 4 of the Volta Valencia on the epic Miserat climb.  The weekend will be based at the 4 star Gran Hotel Sol y Mar where many World Tour teams base themselves over the winter months.

With average temperature highs of 18 degrees and daily sunshine of 7 hours, February in Calpe is perfect to enjoy some winter cycling, it is no wonder more and more pro riders are basing themselves here.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1 - After arriving, bike set up and rider briefing, a 74km (1000m) loop into the Jalón and Orba valleys.

Day 2 - An 96km (1,900m)  ride in to the Jalón valley up the famous Coll de Rates and the Rollercoaster road, back down the valley with the option of an extra 25km (700m) loop of the Bernia climb.

Day 3 - A 120km (2,200m) ride including the Ebo and Miserat climbs (with gentle side of the climb/descent as an option) to watch the Volta Valencia stage 4.

​Day 4 - A 110km (2,000m) coast and valley  ride featuring the Bernia climb and the option of the Cumbre del Sol.

​Day 5 - A 75km (1,100m) coastal route with a cafe stop at the picture perfect El Portet.

Sea views available - supplement €160 per room.

We can also provide Ridley Fenix SL carbon bike hire from only €20 per day.
