Tour of Murcia and Almeria

We are delighted to announce our brand new tour starting in the historic city  of Cartegena, followed by a ride to the coast at Mojacar for 2 nights, then into the Cabo de Gata Natural park, finally through the Tabernas desert and up the Vuelta Climb of Velefique before heading down to the city of Almeria.

Included in the tour:

5 nights half board accommodation in - 1 night in Sercotel Alfonso XIII Cartegena, 2 nights in Hotel Alegria Palacio Mojacar, 1 night in Hotel Doña Pakyta San José and one night in a AC Marriott in the city of Almeria.

​Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrival transfer and bike set up, welcome drinks and meal out in the city.  If time allows a 30km (800m) ride.

Day 2 - A 135km (1,700m) ride featuring climbs from stage 6 of La Vuetla 2018, over the El Cedecero climb,  Cabo Cope y Puntas de Calnegra park. Then leaving the Vuelta route to head along the stunning coast road to Mojacar.

Day 3 - A 90-140km (1,500-1,900m) loop including the climbs of Bedar and option of Puerto de la Virgin)

Day 4 - A 110km (1,300m) ride into the Cabo de Gata park with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.

​Day 5 - The Queen stage - A 110-160km (1,400-2,900m) ride up through Nijar to Rambla Honda and Turrillas then the optional climb of Alto de Velefique (2021 Vuelta stage 9 finish) - Spain's answer to the Stelvio and Alpe Duez with 29 hairpins.  This is followed by a 60km descent next to the Tabernas desert to the city of Almeria.

Day 6 - Transfer to Almeria airport

Price: €1,599 per person sharing a twin room.  Single occupancy €399.

Also available for private groups - you set the dates.

If you would like to extend your tour we can add extra dates in Calpe at the start or end of the trip for only €149 per night including bike hire (twin occupancy - single supplement €40) including guided rides.

Rim brake bike hire included.  Upgrades are available €60 (Di2), €90 (Di2/AXS/Disc).
