Bocairent - One Day Ride (1)

We are delighted to annouce a new fully supported one day ride. We'll have the Siempre Skoda on the route from which we will be able to provide support including snacks, water and energy food/drink.

The ride starts from the town of Xaló/Jalón and heads up the 22km gentle climb of the Vall de Gallinera, before descending to Planes. The route then heads up the gentle 7km climb from Muro de Alcoy to Agres before reaching our lunch stop in the medieval town of Bocairent.   After lunch we will head through the beautiful Serra Mariola Natural Park before reaching Alcoy "The City of Bridges".  After the climb out of the city the route climbs through Gorga and Benimassot before the 30km descent to finish the ride back in Xaló/Jalón.  This is a route with varied landscape on rolling terrain, a ride beyond the Costa Blanca.

Energy gels and bars, plus cakes and bananas from car (fair use policy applies)

Space in car for one small bag (left at your own risk)

Spare wheels from car if required (Shimano 11 speed disc and rim brake) 

Important Information:

The support car will be located at strategic points along the route, to keep you fuelled for the ride. We are planning on riding the route with one lunch stop (not included in price) in Bocairent. The average speed of the main group is expected to be around 24-26kmph.  We would also ask you to load the GPX route on to your device before the ride.   The number of places will be limited to match the Covid guidelines in place at the time.  We may split the group if this is a viable option in which case we would have two different speed groups.

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the ride if weather conditions or other circumstances dictate. In which case the €25 contribution will be refunded.

Bring bike lights in case of changeable weather or low sunlight.

No helmet, no ride.
