About the Event
We are delighted to announce our autumn cycling week which will be based at the 4 star Gran Hotel Sol y Mar where many World Tour teams base themselves over the winter months.
Included in the tour:
Half board accommodation
Daily led rides with high ride leader/guest ratio
Support car for groups of 6 or more for 5 rides (For smaller groups the car support will be available for the epic day)
Support nutrition fincluding gels, bars etc
Transfers to/from Alicante airport (*see restrctions)
Welcome pack and rider manual

Storage and maintenance space for bikes
With average temperature highs of 18 degrees and daily sunshine of 6 hours, November in Calpe is perfect to enjoy some autumn cycling, it is no wonder most World Tour teams base themselves here for their pre-season training.
Sample Itinerary:
Day 1 - After arriving, bike set up and rider briefing, a 74km (1000m) loop into the Jalón and Orba valleys.
Day 2 - An 96km (1,900m) ride in to the Jalón valley up the famous Coll de Rates and the Rollercoaster road, back down the valley with the option of an extra 25km (700m) loop of the Bernia climb.
Day 3 - A 109km (2,200m) ride including the newly resurfaced Petracos and Vall de Laguar climbs.
Day 4 - A 127km (2,200m) route featuring Vall d'Ebo.
Day 5 - Rest day or optional morning recovery spin.
Day 6 - An epic 150km (2,800m) route inspired by stage 2 of the 2019 La Vuelta including Puerto de Confrides and Puig Llorença (Cumbre del Sol) - (the route can be shorted to 120km if this last climb is missed out)
Day 7 - A 75km (1,100m) coastal route with a cafe stop at the picture perfect El Portet.

Protocols and practices are in place in light of the current pandemic, in relation to both the hotel and guiding.
We can also provide Ridley Fenix SL carbon bike hire from only €20 per day.
